Spelling for your school + try our new games
As we enter budget season, tell your instructional lead/admins about Spelling Test Buddy. And, try our first spelling games!

First, an ask. Then, something fun.
My ask:
Teachers, if you are enjoying using Spelling Test Buddy, please tell your instructional leads and school/district administrators about Spelling Test Buddy!
School budget season for the next school year is starting now, and Spelling Test Buddy is a great addition for elementary, middle school, and even high school intervention / ESL. You can even send a pre-written email to your lead or admin using our Refer a Colleague form.
With our School and District plans, we can support the entire buying processes too (POs/Invoices, data security/privacy discussions, etc.). Just set up the intro, and we can take it from there.
Now, something fun:
One frequent request I get is for spelling games. Many of you have used Spelling City (VocabularySpellingCity), which offered spelling games as a part of the software.
I want Spelling Test Buddy to do the same! So, this week, I was able to use AI to help create a couple of games!
I’d love for you to try them and give me feedback. Are they fun/helpful? What other kinds of games are you looking for?
Word Scramble Race: decode the word from your word list. Try to beat the clock.
Garden Spelling: create a beautiful garden in this Hangman-inspired game.
Here is a short YouTube video showing Word Scramble Race:
And one showing Garden Spelling:
Do you like these games? Would your students like them? While the word list powering these games is currently fixed, my plans for them (and other ones like it) are:
Tie it to Word Lists that you have created
Let teachers assign this as an in-class or at-home activity
Track and report on results
What do you think?
What games should we be building?
