English Accent choices and a Clearer Voice

Parents and Teachers,

Every word spoken in Spelling Test Buddy had been spoken with an American accent. While this is useful for those living in the United States and Canada, it hasn’t been helpful for our English speaking friends in other parts of the world.

It’s time to improve that!

Starting this week, you can now choose the accent you want the words to be played.

When you create a new word list, choose the accent of the words you want to hear them in:

When you save your word list and add your words, the words will now be in the language of your choice!

If you want to hear the differences, you can try a spelling test with each of them from these links:

• US English

• UK English

• Australian English

• Indian English

Additionally, we are now using a different voice for US English and UK English. This should be a clearer voice that speaks more slowly and accurately.
